As I commented on Reuters, they need to wake up to themselves as the borrowing costs will crush them:

'...Italian and Spanish... so long as those governments have credible plans to put their public finances on a sustainable footing'
They haven't and they won't. So after a two page lecture from Saul on how the fault for the continuing collapse of the eurozone and it's common currency is it's central bank and Germany's reluctance to continue to throw money at Spain and Italy he finally nails the real problem. Well done Saul. Credit where it is due! Posted by imajulianutter, Sunday, 27 November 2011 1:16:14 PM

What we have to watch and the real crisis, is war. Which usually always follows massive financial (debt) crisis. The aftermath of large scale war is market boom and long term stability. It also cements (at least for a while) global dominance.
Is the usery banking system the blame? Should we go to a non usery banking system (the bank becomes an organiser not a lender, not debt crisis)? The bank of Amsterdam was the largest bank in the world for 200 years. Until a little French military man shut it down. Then retired to St Helena 8-) Posted by JustGiveMeALLTheFacts, Monday, 28 November 2011 2:38:52 PM

The real criminals are the Central Banksters and their Wall St pimps. They cornered our Govts into bailing out their mess.It is totally criminal and no one has been charged.Only Occupy protestors get arrested while the real criminals make off with the loot.

War eh? That's prophetic? And I agree. War will be in two arenas and two phases. The first arena, the first phase: The Chinese haves in the cities against the starving havenots from the countryside... where the military source their manpower. The second phase: The Chinese realising they can't feed themselves and push outwards seeking food sources to alleviate starvation. That will push refugees to Australia. The second arena an abandoned Israel taking premptive nuclear action against Iran and Pakistan retaliating. There will only be one phase in that arena. Yes, well interesting but absolutely no mention of a major cause of
the problem we are all facing. The reduction to zero growth. With no growth our whole credit system gets itself into strife as there are no funds to repay debt. Growth has disappeared because the cost of energy has consumed the growth. Economists generally have totally failed to acknowledge the basic role of energy and are totally finance orientated. Paul Eslake is it seems one of that majority of economists who are still asleep. Posted by Bazz, Tuesday, 29 November 2011 10:52:01 AM

"Bazz", I am very much awake. However if you're going to bag me, at least get my name right. It's Saul, not Paul. No 'road to Damascus' conversions for me.

Whoops, sorry about that Saul, I must have been asleep that time !
Seriously, it is interesting to hear economists, financial experts bankers politicians etc etc all talking about the problem and none ever refer to the primary need of energy to drive the economy. It is energy that has got them into trouble not money. I suggest that you have a chat with Jeff Rubin, a Canadian economist who seems to be well connected in that field. He was Chief Economist at CIBC bank in Canada. You can find him on google or Utube. Posted by Bazz, Tuesday, 29 November 2011 10:30:00 PM

Most of this money now exists in the non productive derivative market. When this market collapses,it then enters the real economy that will create hyperflation. When the US $ collapses, they will print more in a desperate effort to save their scams.
The criminals Saul, have taken the whole system hostage.
