I finally got around to reading your article.

It seems you and the Israelis are supporting a bloodthirsty socialist dictatorship. Another one that slaughters it's own people when they decide to agitate for change.

Some of us would simply nod our heads knowingly.

Birds of a feather flock together.

Tell me why you expect a democratic Syria wouldn't wish to have peaceful relations with it's supposed democratic neighbour?
