The Chinese Defense White Paper is at best, inscrutable.

Interesting.

The Chinese opposition to the independence of Taiwan is surely no different to the American opposition to the independence of any state within the USA? Both oppose the principle of self-determination of peoples subject to the metropolitan power?

People Republic of China;

The closest translation of this caption should be:

‘The wealth common to the people of China’.

It does not give any indications of which of the people of China administer such wealth.

It is another politician’s senseless slogan like Lincoln’s:

Democracy is “Government of the people, by the people and for the people” (which people?)

The “illogic” in these allocutions is the oaks of the charlatan in the politician-dictator.

The lack of a dictator as such in the so called democracies absconds the essence of dictatorship by a group.
