Yes, Cancún will be 'insufficient', but it is a necessary step to COP-17 - and beyond.

Although the astute view CanCun as having achieved little, the PM's Climate Committee is pressing on regardless with its mission to recommend a carbon tax. It regards climate science as settled.

Unless there is a Royal Commission to inquire into the veracity of climate science, and thus to expose anthropogenic global warming as a hoax, the Govt with the help of the Greens and the Independents appears to have the numbers to legislate a carbon tax.
