Yeah, and Russia has few thousand nuclear warheads - bigger than America's, and an order of magnitude bigger than Israel's. I don't really think it's the number of nukes that matters; it is the likelihood of them being used. Personally, the nuclear state which scares me the most is Pakistan.

Also, Russia's military nuclear program was incredibly messy - the releases of radioactive material into the environment from Russia's military sources are much, much larger than releases from their civilian sources - including the Chernobyl disaster.

No, I don't. Depleted uranium releases bugger all radiation into the environment, on account of it being depleted. This isn't rocket science, champ (it's nuclear physics).
