Mr. Singer said....

-In failing to recognize that the conflict is one between "Arabs" and "Jews" - not "Palestinians" and "Israelis" - this group of sage elders has found itself unable to rise above Arab propaganda - which seeks to deny the Jewish people the right to their own independent State in their ancient and biblical homeland as legally envisioned for them by the League of Nations and the United Nations.-

Mr. Singer may choose to represent the conflict as 'Jews' vs 'Arabs' but the world sees it clearly as a conflict based on Israel usurping land that was then and is now Palestinian land and which, as we write, is still in the process of being built on illegally by Israelis with their goverment's total connivance and encouragement.
Indisputed fact!

The "Jews" and "Arabs" emphasis by Mr. Singer is that he sees the conflict this way. If however, you ask a Palestinian who he views as the party in the wrong, he states quite clearly "the Israelis" and so it is. Mr. Singer may choose to call Palestinians "Arabs", that is his choice. The world calls Israel and therefore Israelis in the United Nations building as Israelis, not Jews. Seems clear to everyone else.

Then we read that "Granted, Mr. Carter is now 86".
Carter's actions over the years on this one matter would make any efforts that Mr. Singer could possible make pale into insignificance. Jimmy Carter has been seen during his lifetime as a voice of reason and compassion, which are qualities that are not highly regarded by the Israelis, (read Shatila, Sabra massacres, etc., etc.) Zionists, and US fellow-travelers like Clinton.

Additional comment….“If Mr Carter is that uninformed……” and “Mary Robinson is no better”.
Such comments identify clearly to any reader of these articles that Mr. Singer has an agenda that takes no counsel from anyone who is not a 'Jew' (see Israeli) . It would be interesting to see if Mr. Singer sees himself as an Israeli or, very unlikely, as an Australian. Whatever he is, he would probably have two passports.

Is that schizophrenia?

Give it up David.
We all know that Israel has started this "recognise us as a jewish country" malarkey so that once we do recognise it any criticism can be refuted as antisemitism.
Pathetically transparent and nobody is falling for it.

I find your linking of these elders with the despicable protocols, for no other connection but the word elders, offensive.

A more accurate title would be, 'Malign Israel'.

Your rush to espouse the current UN language that depicts the conflict as one between "Palestinians" and "Israelis" has been the result of Arab propaganda that has had a cumulative effect with rsounding success.

With the 57 members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference effectively controlling the proceedings of the 191 member UN - they have managed to semantically change the nature of the conflict between Jews and Arabs that has been ongoing for the last 130 years.

You are obviously one of their brain washed devotees.

Fact is that the 1947 UN Partition resolution spoke of partition into a "Jewish State" and an "Arab State". The "Palestinians" were not part of the equation. Indeed it was not until 1964 that the term was first coined and defined.

The UN's predecessor - the League of Nations - spoke of the 'reconstitution of the Jewish National Home" in Palestine without prejudice to the civil and religious rights of the non- Jewish communities living there. Neither the Arabs or the Palestinians then rated a mention.

Whilst the conflict is viewed as one between two local competing groups and not between Jews and Arabs - the prospect of any resolution is bleak.

Carter and Robinson are indeed eminent personalities and for that reason have to doubly ensure that their statements are not deceptive or misleading since people rely on them as being accurate and correct. In the cases I mentioned they fell well short of the standards expected of such statespersons.

In doing so they have diminished their standing and authority.

You join the ranks of those who seek to denigrate the messenger and ignore the message. This only serves to diminish the credibility of your comments as well.

Sorry if my references to the Protocols offended you. We are all entitled to our opinions and that happens to be mine.
