Fantastic work and an inspiration to all. As an Aboriginal Australian I feel embarrassed and humbled.In Australia there are literally, Thousands of Government funded organisational services set up specifically for about two hundred thousand (200.000) Aboriginal people with a Multitude of ongoing government programs and initiatives involving Billions of dollars. Yet by the so-called social and economic determinants we are still the most disadvantaged people in Australia with many living in "Absolute Poverty" According to a lot of Aboriginal academics.Often referred to as the Aboriginal Victim Industry (AVI) Even though everyone in this Country receives $35 a day Absolute Minimum. With over fifty (50) venues for masses of free food in Brisbane alone ! We have in fact,( officially ) an obesity problem in Australia. And other ongoing and serious health problems associated with over-eating. We should All be embarrassed. And even Ashamed.
Well done Dr. Martin. I thank you for sharing this story and introducing us to “Asha”.

Bully

Tell us about your own thoughts of the plight of the indig;
Are all indig; willing to make a real go of life.?
The indig; living in remote areas, are they responsive to urban life, away from remote communities.
Progress seems to be very slow, even with vast amounts of money spent.
Does aborigional colture, slow the process of similation.
We see dark people coming from all parts of the world which do their best to fit in to society. Our indig; seems slower than most.
