Palestine - one Arab, two States, three hats, no Jews : Comments

By David Singer, published 26/8/2010

Palestinian President Abbas is clearly conflicted - advocating for a 'two state solution' while heading two organisations that call for the elimination one of them.

International law forbids permanent settlements in territories occupied as a result of war regardless of the circumstances of the war. Therefore all Israeli settlements in the occupied territories are illegal.

Israel not only refuses to evacuate those illegal settlements but also will not even agree to stop expanding them.

Mr. Singer apparently backs Israel in its refusal.

Mr. Singer wrote: "Mr Ghatib is living in fantasy land." What is Mr Ghatib's fantasy?

He quotes Mr Ghatib as saying, "We are looking for a settlement freeze according to the definition of Quartet … road map - adopted by the United Nations Security Council - which called for a settlement freeze in all occupied areas including East Jerusalem.”

Mr Ghatib is indeed living in a fantasy land if he looks for Israel to curtail the illegal settlements. He is not asking that they be evacuated as they should be, but Israel will not even stop expanding the settlements in clear violation of international law.

Dear David...all the Israeli's did was reclaim 'occupied' land from those who have no right to be there..ie.. the Jordanians.

Hence..the West bank is not 'occupied' it is in reality Israeli Territory..and both history and theology back that up.

You don't need to even consider anything after Christ to find this. All is based on events and revelations pre-Christ...

If anything, it is the Biblical Christian view that the true "Israel" today, is the Church...but because most Jews don't accept Christ as Messiah, they are being true to themeselves and their foundational beliefs as they understand them... by re-taking what God gave them, and what has been historically theirs for 1000s of years.

Gen 15:18-21
On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

"See link for a map of God given land." So said Algorerich, the resident know-all. Where did he get this link? Did god send it to him in an email?

When people start talking about God-given land you have to wonder about their sanity. To date, no science has revealed the existence of any god or gods. God is a fantasy invented by fraudsters to enslave other men.

In the case of Palestine, a group of fraudsters called Jews are trying to steal land which rightfully belongs to the Palestinians. They are using all manner of duplicity, theo-babble, and violence to achieve this end.

What should happen is that International Law should prevail. Israel should be disarmed, then driven back to the 1967 borders. Jerusalem should be made a U.N. Protectorate with free access to all people. Then a Palestinian State should be created, one that has no arms either. Of course, generous compensation should be paid by Israel to all displaced and impoverished Palestinians.

Surely this solution is more than fair given that the Jews have absolutely no legal right to any land in Palestine!

Denying that one has any historical and/or religious right to exist is merely stating an opinion - it need not have any practical implications. Australia also, for example, claims no historical and/or religious right to exist, yet nobody suggests that it should therefore be eliminated.

In fact, many Israelis agree with the above opinion, yet see Israel, their birthplace, as their homeland and are more than willing to defend it, without any need to resort to historical/religious rights.

Abbas have shown good will and clearly accepts the state of Israel. The internal matters of Israel, such as whether it promotes pizza or humus as its national food or how much Jewish it wants to be, are not on the negotiation table.

Dear AGIR,

Theology backs nothing in law. Your theology is no more legitimate than the Muslim shariah. You believe in one kind of nonsense. They believe in another. Humans don't need either rubbish.

It doesn't matter whether the old Jewish fables were after or before your fable of your humanoid god.

If there is a God he is not a real estate dealer who parcels out land.

The myths in the Bible are no more to be taken seriously than the Greek, Roman, Norse, Japanese or other myths.

You would destroy the Jewish people by getting them to follow your superstitious crap, but you support their claim to another people's territory. That's schizoid.

Dear AGIR,

Why is there a state of Israel? The state of Israel is a result of the Balfour Declaration. Balfour was a Jew hater. He was unwilling to let Jews fleeing from czarist Russia into England and spoke in favour of the Alien Exclusion Act of 1905 which kept Jewish refugees out of England. Later he supported the Balfour Declaration which made a Jewish homeland on land which was mostly occupied by another people. Balfour like many others in England probably believed in the real estate dealer God of the Bible.

The United States in the emigration act of 1924 limited the access of Jews to the United States. Jews fleeing the growing anti-Semitism in Europe had few places to go. After WW2 the Jewish survivors of the Holocaust were refused entry to most countries so those who could went to Israel. They built a state and fought off enemies.

The hate for the Jews was largely a product of Christianity which could not accept a people in their midst who wanted to keep their religion. They had no regard for that. There are many Jewish martyrs who died rather than abandon their faith. By your attempt to convert Jews you show that you are in that tradition and have no regard for Jewish beliefs.

If there had been no Jew hatred promoted by Christianity there would be no state of Israel. If Jews fleeing persecution had places of refuge there would be no state of Israel. It would not be necessary.

David G is a Jew hater. He calls us fraudsters and other names. However, I don’t think he is as bad as people like you who pretend to be our friends and seek to destroy us.

Christians have given us somebody else’s land and given many of us no alternative but to go there. Then they try to get us to stop being Jews by adopting their superstitious crap.

Some Christians such as Bishop Spong and Basilea Schlink have realised the errors of their ways and are penitent. However, you persist in your evil.

I hate no one. But I do hate what religion does to some human beings and I do hate what some religious humans do to other humans.

Religion makes humans irrational. It puts blinkers on them. It justifies the most abhorrent acts of brutality and cruelty (God told us to). The Spanish Inquisition comes to mind. It is indeed the opiate of the masses.

Whether the religion is Judaic, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, the effect is always the same. The fanatics among the clerics hold sway and the gullible follow along just like sheep. It's time, in 2010, that people dealt with reality.

There are no gods, only childish, primitive superstition.

I would recommend that everyone reads the following link. Then you should ask yourself: why does Israel need 2 billion dollars worth of aviation fuel (for fighter planes), diesel fuel (for tanks and armoured personnel carriers) plus unleaded petrol.

Could Israel be planning to nuke Iran then follow it up with an invasion of Lebanon, the West Bank and Gaza, and perhaps even Syria, etc?

Kiss your children.

AGIR,

My understanding is that God fulfilled his promise during the exodus and that it was Jewish sin which brought about the destruction of the second temple and the diaspora.

There is no theological justification for the existence of 'that shi**y little state'.

We can only hope the Iranians develop the bomb then we might have real peace in the mid east.
