Alex Whisson, what is your position on the future security of Israel? The Arab world appears to want Palestinians everywhere but in their countries.

In nuclear armaments the theory of MAD prevails (Mutually Assured Destruction) - perhaps the same situation should be created between Israel and Palestine in order to get both sides to concentrate their efforts on peace.

Alex Whisson writes a pointed and accurate assessment of the Israeli/Palestinian situation. His comments could come from any human with an ounce of compassion, morals and a wish for peace and prosperity for the entire Middle East.

Unfortunately certain facts get in the way:

President Obama doesn't have the political will to take on Congress where he will surely loose. Have no doubt the American Zionist lobby have Congress in their back pocket. So you have the "mediator" the most powerful nation in the world and the strongest supporter of Israel that is incapable of delivering Israel.

President Mahmoud Abbas of the West Bank, handpicked by Israel as the only Palestinian that they are prepared to negotiate is unable to deliver the Palestinians. Prime Minister Ismail Haniya of Gaza considers that there is no point of negotiations when Palestinians make concession after concession and have lost more and more land as a result.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu can't deliver his own government let alone the Knesset and Israel. Foreign Minister and cultural racist Avigdor Lieberman has made it abundantly clear that he expects Palestinian to recognize the JEWISH State of Israel what does that make of the Muslim and Christian Israelis? Furthermore he has warned his Prime Minister that if he extends by one second the “moratorium” on stealing Arab land and expanding settlements he will withdraw his party from the coalition bringing down the government.

Israel's real fear is that if there was peace in the Middle East then there could very easily be a civil war in Israel that will have nothing to do with the Muslims or Christians that live there or their Arab neighbors.

I have been saying the same things for years. Israel is the problem and the instigator of the whole sorry situation.
Their zionist ideology sees them reoccupying the whole of "eretz Israel" which is everything west of the Jordan river (for starters) and they have used every dirty trick in the book to achieve it.

They never counted on the fanatical resistance of the Arabs (they thought they would just leave) nor the enlightenment of the rest of the world over the use of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, conquest and genocide. All now heinous crimes against humanity. All crimes Israel stands accused of.

Israel must be forced to recognise the green line as its permanent border, remove the settlers or allow them to become Palestinian jews, pull down the apartheid wall, stop the terrorism of the siege of Gaza and at the very least join the NPT or better still give up your weapons of mass destruction. At least stop the hypocritical, two faced complaining about your neighbors trying to get them.

If Israel did this then I for one would support them wholeheartedly as a secular democracy and a decent country of good people.
Until then they are a rogue, militaristic, terrorist state that should be boycotted and sanctioned as should anyone who deals with them.
It worked on South Africa's racists it will work on Israel's zionists.

It would be great to see Iran get the bomb.

At the moment Israel has no military foe capable of threatening them so they have no intention or need to make peace. They will only want to make peace when they realise that they have no military advantage and are facing a real opponent.

Unfortunately, the Arabs are just too hopeless to beat the Israelis in any other way.

To understand the relationship between Israel and America.....

Read the Old Testament book of Nehemiah and then Esther.

The ONLY way there will be peace in the middle-east is when the Arabs stop teaching their children to hate so much.

Or when oil runs out. Here's hoping because those illiberal, racist, homophobic, misogynistic bigoted Arab cultures will turn into Africa - which is where their post-Islamic civilisation belongs.

On the ash heap of history.

Arab civilisation before Islam is one of much to be proud for. Islam has made it poor, has made it morally bankrupt, and all its ideas stolen from the Persians - just look at mosques, all come from the designs of Persia.
