Bravery or dogged endurance? : Comments

In a world where risk has been managed almost out of existence people often mislabel endurance as bravery.

Yes I have to agree - someone's bravery and acts of 'heroism' may contribute to another's misfortune including the loss of a parent or spouse. There are certainly many faces and complexities to what constitutes bravery. Sometimes being 'brave' may be to face one's responsibilities in the face of other pressures.
