"The British are upset with the United States for blaming 'British' Petroleum for that nasty little oil spill in the Gulf." And so they should be.

Granted, with hindsight, that BP might have paid more attention to preventing the oil spill and made better provision for dealing with it once it had occurred.

But the whole thing happened in USA waters, governed by USA laws and regulations, encouraged by profits to be made from harvesting oil for the USA, and, as BP pointed out quite early, involving USA contractors such as Halliburton who were involved in some of the work that failed, causing the spill.

If the yanks know as much about all these matters as they pretend, they could have prevented the spill by improving their safety requirements for risky and dangerous oil drilling projects such as this one that they were happy for BP to undertake. To now have their president posturing for the media, blaming BP for the whole thing and demanding immediate compensation, amounts to pure hypocrisy.

Obama is treating the oil spill as a wonderful media opportunity to boost his popularity, strutting around pretending to be getting the problem fixed, whilst actually being incapable of achieving anything that the experts were not already working on. Meanwhile he (Obama) neglects his other committments such as visiting Australia, controlling instead of encouraging the atrocities of Israel, and reforming his banking and finance industry that caused a global finance disaster earlier in his term of office. Weird priorities!

Leo you are hilarious!
You will be blaming the greens for holding back solar power next.
The problem was, and still is, profit before everything else.
