Andrew, I know this is a naïve question, but where are the Australian mining industries hiding their huge profits? Take BHP for instance. The shares are trading at about $37.19 and the dividend is about 2.56%. The P/E is 20.07 and they pay dividends back to the shareholders of about 50% of the earnings per share. Where is the capacity to increase tax on the profits by 40%?
