By Kim Holmes, published 15/3/2010

Many Europeans cheered when Barack Obama was elected president. But he hasn't lived up to European expectations.

Keep it up, Mates - however, as they have shown astute political commonsense, what about asking the North Europeans what should be done?

Or rather what should be done about obama?

"The State Department's recent announcement that we would remain neutral in the Falklands Islands dispute between the UK and Argentina has only fueled that perception."

Uh huh so the US should wage into the meaningless squabble over the Falkland Islands? Have they even found all the landmines as yet? But I suppose there mightb be oil in the seabed hence the British concern...

*Europe may never get over its disdain for Mr Bush. But they may someday come to realise that things were not as bad under Mr Bush as they thought.*

ROFL. I remind the author that Clinton handed over to Bush a healthy
economy, with surpluses aplenty. His big crime it seems, was the
odd blowjob from the occasional intern.

Eight years later, Bush handed to Obama, a trainwreck of an economy,
a treasury stripped bare, with two wars on the go.

Bush took the US economy to the edge of depression, through sheer
incompetance. Now republicans seem to wonder why there are no
magic fairies to make it all go away.

Thankfully for Bush and Cheney, leaders cannot be jailed for
sheer stupidity, or they would both be locked up for life.

Don't expect magic fairies either, the turnaround for the US, will
take years and years.

My guess is that the power of the USA president is greatly over-rated. Obama might have wanted to withdraw all troops from Iraq, to impose sanctions on Israel to force it to behave more reasonably, to reform the USA banking system, and many more things, but when it came to putting such aspirations into practice he found he was not able to do it. When opposed by the military/industrial complex, the Jewish lobby, the power of the banks, Obama is left with very little he can do other than to make speeches. He can't even get agreement on a health care system like many countries of Europe, and Australia, adopted decades ago!

Very interesting news has just come in?

Silly Hillary has just lost her love for Netanyahu.

Couldn't believe that under-neath he was so nasty to the Arabs.

Of course both Hillary and Bill were always friendly with the Israelies.

Of course, for a long time now, to younger Israelies, Nazi death camps had just become painfully sad rather than ruthlessly cruel, as they themselves might become.

G'day Forkes, reckon you're spot on about the Bush mob still running the show.

Also about the Jews still steering the White House.

Fortunately there could be a change, as a couple of hours ago, news came over that Hilary Clinton's fallen out with Netanyahu.

Any good historian could tell us that both Bill and Hilary
were always too friendly with the Jew-world.

Regards, BB, Buntine, WA.
