Much of what Georgia Lowe says is right: our so-called democracy and our general lack of interest in it; the attempted substition of Anzac for an identity we don't have.

But her statement that:"...white Australian society has no vision of itself and has no common culture passed down across generations" is confusing, given her decidedly Left biography.

'White Australia'? What about Australians who are not white? They don't even get a mention. Then she completely blows it all with suggesting that "...that our state was formed on the graves of 20,000 murdered Aborigines."

We can probably understand "...the two people in the crowd who were aged under 20 left, uninspired, before the meeting finished" (a local Government meeting full of the usual bulldust, but young people like Georgia have to get their act and arguments together before they are ready to put a broom through society.

We could always follow the “American way”, and go to war to unify the country, and fight the evil terrorists/communists/Japanese/British/Indians.

We could also develop something we could call Australian, but relying on the education system to do this is like hoping to win gold lotto (possible, but not probable).

An example would be the purchasing of computers for students by the NSW education system.

35 programs were placed on these computers for students, with all programs being imported, and no NSW or Australian content. This simply tells the students to not rely on anything Australian, or to believe in anything Australia (just like their teachers).

That is what happens if it is left up to teachers and the education system to decide.

The teaching of feminism within schools and universities has also spelt a death knell for the family unit, with most emphasis now being placed on de facto relationships, and no emphasis being placed on real families.

God protect us from silly little activists, running around in circles, looking for a cause, any cause. Any cause will do of course, provided we don't have to do anything more useful than chatter.

"..the first and longest serving President managed to form a peaceful and democratic Tanzania..." Really? Nyerere's regime set up a one party rule system and allied itself with the Soviet bloc then forced collectivization on Tanzanian farmers,that doesn't sound like a democratic process to me.

If Tanzania is indeed a peaceful and democratic nation today it's definitely not due to Nyerere.
