Rumours are circulating both online and in the
tabloids that the Queen wants to disregard the
line of succession and make Prince William and
Kate Middleton the next King and Queen of
England, instead of Prince Charles and Camilla,
Duchess of Cornwall.

I've now checked on the web whether the Queen has
the power to do this and apparently she doesn't.

As one website informed - it would be against the
law. Specifically the 1701 Act of Settlement which
requires that a Monarch heir must be a direct
successor and a Protestant.

Prince Charles fits the bill on both these requirements.

Whether people like the Prince or not the man has been
in training for the job since he was 4. He's been
training to take the throne for his whole life.
I personally feel that it would be cruel for him not
to be given the job.

Also, since Parliament instituted that Act, and apparently
the Queen has no power over political laws, Parliament
would need to be the one to change it. And, the British
Parliament as we're learning with our Constitution
probably also takes a long time to pass new laws.

It will be interesting to see how much longer will the Queen
continue to reign. She's now galloping towards 92 - how
much longer will Prince Charles have to wait?

Dear Toni,

Yes that's true. The Queen mother did live
to be 101. However she was a widowed Queen,
a Dowager Queen and held that status for
50 years. She was the mother of the
reigning monarch and did not have any rights
to succeed her husband the King when he died.
Her daughter Elizabeth became Queen.

With the current Queen who's been on the throne
for 65 years (longer than Queen Victoria), surely
being 91 and her husband - 96, she could give
her 69 year old son, Prince Charles a chance to
rule? But you're probably right - she won't unless
her or her husband's health decides things for her.

Victoria produced the lines of Kaiser Wilhelm and Tsar Nicholas who were not good news and Prince Philip's mother who was insane. That is not permitted in Kimland which is holy.

"Leadership in the hermit kingdom has passed to a male heir ever since Kim Jong-un’s father, Kim Il-sung, took control in 1948.
State mythology says that the “party and revolution must be carried eternally by the Baekdu bloodline”.( Mount Baekdu. which has supposedly blessed the Kim family with its holy energy).

New Yorker :" In the video, Kim Han-sol identifies himself as a North Korean and a member of “the Kim family.” South Korean National Intelligence Service publicly confirmed that the man was, in fact, Kim Han-sol, a nephew of Kim Jong-un, North Korea’s leader, and believed to be the eldest son of Kim Jong-nam, the leader’s half brother, who was murdered last month at an airport in Kuala Lumpur.
..an argument can be made that Kim Han-sol is more entitled to the position of Great Leader than Kim Jong-un, who is Kim Jong-il’s third son, and whose mother was born in Japan. "

I sent this to Lithuanians today . What do you think?
" Mažai ,

Could you tell me that Indraja upelis can mean "Indra river" ?

Indraja is a stream . Pašiles Upelis is a stream , plusti .

About 800 years ago an Indonesian boat arrived in north NSW and brought some Sanskrit language , it seems . Indonesian language has about 50% Sanskrit words. Tamils from India settled in Java from 1025 and Indra is major god in Bali Indonesia today and he made sacred pools of water.

In Brisbane ," Indooroopilly is a corruption of either the local Aboriginal word nyindurupilli, meaning 'gully of the leeches' or yindurupilly meaning 'gully of running water' ".

This may be nya Indra pillai ." There! Indra's water". Sanskrit Indragopa are insects that come out after Indra sends rain.

Old Java language : nya "look! see! here! there!;

Tamil pillai " water-tap". Indonesian pilek "runny nose". Java pelus "freshwater eel".
"Pelus river" in Malayasia.

Old Java pelek "drowned, swallowed up, washed away"
pelen; "dripping,"
pelem; a water-bird
Sanskrit pelayati { pel } " impel . to go."

Maybe Lithuanian has the same tradition of naming a river for Indra . Indratataka "lake of Indra" is at Angkor Wat Cambodia.
