Looks like the Washington Post was spot on with its sneaky news report that the Iraqi Surge for Peace was really the result of the US doing a deal with Saddam's Sunni Sheiks who had been organising the Sunni led insurgency.

Further as the deal was said to be part of a promise by the Americans to have Saddam's Sunni Sheiks eventually included in the Iraqi government, one wonders whether these leaders of the Baath Party are again gaining power?

My Goodness, if the above proves that the warring groups in Iraq can all get on together, including the Americans, such democratic reasoning might even have Saddam smiling in his grave.

Cheers, BB, WA.
