Obama honeymoon still hearts and roses? : Comments

By Margaret Ann Williams, published 3/4/2009

Barack Obama: graceful, thin, refined, polite, mixed-race, intelligent, thoughtful, lovely family, did I say thin? What party-pooper could complain?

Interesting and well-written article.

However I think by concentrating on Obama's personality, the author by-passes the real underlying issues facing him and us. The fact is, it doesn't matter what Obama's personality is: he is not magic. Far from changing, he is just more of the same. More imperial war ventures, more printing of money, more bailouts for billionaires, more 'war on' this that and the other, more government grasping, more planned chaos by government taking over any and every decision in society.

I think it is truly sickening to see young children indoctrinated into adoring a political leader whose main claim to fame is that he controls a vast machine of killing, looting and forced indoctrination.

Real change means more freedom, not more welfare/warfare state: http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/026167.html

Jardine is right.Obama is just a puppet of the Corporate power brokers, primarily the Federal Reserve Banks who unbeknownst,to most people are private cartell manipulating this whole debacle to their advantage.

Obama said he would repeal the Patriot Act,instead have endorsed it.Obama was to bring home the troops but has done the reverse.Obama will not support Congressman Ron Paul's Bill HR 1207 to Audit the Fed Res which has bled the country dry.55 fellow congressmen currently support the Bill.

Kevin Rudd,Gordon Brown and Barack Obama will send the planet into hyper-inflation.The cure will be worse than the disease.

Actually not so, but the less enlightened might not yet be
aware of it.

I am extremely amused that he has the conservative end of
America, shaking in their boots with worry :)

Obama can think outside the square and that matters. At
the G20 he jokingly bowed to the Saudi Arabian King,
everyone had huge smiles on their faces, yet the conservative
old farts in the US were outraged! The man has people skills,
face it.

Next Michelle plants an organic veggie patch in the White
House garden, again the conservatives are outraged.

What a welcome breath of fresh air!

Arjay, I remind you that it was George Bush and the conservatives,
who drove the US economy into a ditch. Obama was left with
the job of hiring the tow truck, to drag it out. There were
two options, full steam ahead or leave it to sink in the ditch.
The latter meant disaster for sure, the former has a chance of
working. So its a chance worth taking

Yabby ,you still don't get. Both the Democrats and the Republicans bar people like Ron Paul,do the bidding of the US Federal Reserve. The US political process has been totally corrupted. They are not far away form being a totalitarian Govt like China. The Patriot Act that allows the president to declare marshall law on a whim ,must be repealled.

We are bringing in draconian laws here like banning bikers who we percieve to have criminal intent. The laws are enough but they do not enforce them.Judges won't give real sentences.

Arjay, you are free to believe your conspiracy theories about the
Fed Reserve if you wish. I agree to disagree. I gave you the
Widkipedia link explaining why the Fed was set up, how it works
and how profits go back to the US treasury. Clearly the US public
are happy with this system and so are most politicians.

But believe whatever you will.

Yabby no conspiracy here.It is a present day reality. This has been a system that have evolved over a long period of time. The power brokers are those with the most money and no one has as much as the Reserve Banking System.Follow the money trail and use your logic.Study your history.

Only the small secrets need to be hidden, since the really big ones are repressed by your incredulity.
