I think it's a little interesting that no-one has commented on this piece. I'll admit that I don't know any of the people mentioned, so I can't comment on the analysis provided.
As a general comment, if the Saudi Kingdom begins the process of challenging the very radical Wahabi strain of Islam's hold on the political process, then all the better. It will be very interesting to see the level of support the changes receive from the masses, and the level of resistance they receive from the religio-political elite, who have much to lose if the reform process goes on.
