Yes, it is all fuelled by hatred. That hatred in turn is fuelled by the Islamic religion. There will be no rest until Israel is part of the Islamic state.

Sparkyq. Imagine you were born in Gaza in the last 5 years.
It is not Islam that would cause your hatred, it is the injustice and immanent death that would do it.
Both sides are at fault. Hamas may be evil, but bombing children will strengthen them, not defeat them.
Seems one side has to win for this to end, yet the world will not allow this to happen.
If there was a God, then this would be his object lesson on forgiveness.

I can only grieve. Whether the murderers are members of the Israeli armed forces or Palestinian suicide bombers they are still murderers. Whether the victims are Palestinians or Israelis they are still human.

Some religious voices cry out against the slaughter, but most support it. The brutality is reinforced by religion. The faith that 'we have the truth' breeds atrocity.

Sparkyq, you state that there will be no rest until Israel is part of the Islamic state. No rest for whom? What protection will there be for the many non-Muslim citizens of such a state, even if they resisted the bellicose policies of the former governmental structure?
This is a war which started 1400 years ago, and which is going through a rough patch right now. But until it is acknowledged as a war, the analysis will be wrong.
