We had a simple backyard Anderson shelter (trench, corrugated iron, earth) in Coventry in WW II. Trying to resurrect a derelict garden in Handsworth, Birmingham in 1978, we found that a lot of the problem was the remains of a similar shelter. No Tecton mod cons in either.
