Paying the price for greed and idiocy : Comments

By Hugh Selby, published 28/11/2008

Thank goodness a mandatory retirement age has been abolished for many of us: our pension plans are ruined and our adult children can't get jobs.

Good on you Hugh and not a bad article. It hit its stride towards the end.

Quite right about superannuation. It's a big blow to many retirees. I'm afraid there's not many places to shelter in an economic storm so super will continue to be hit hard for a while. Don't write super off though - especially when the cycle turns back again.

This is a big economic downswing but be heartened as it's nothing like what we had in the 80s. Yep, we're paying the price for greed and idiocy but to keep it in perspective, it's also nothing like Oct 1929 and the calling in of the margin loans.

More brains good. More doing even better.

hugh[quote]..>>Remember how recently we were encouraged by experts and government to save for our retirement by shifting our savings into superannuation, #..<<

yeah mate i do

john howard knew what was comming
infact many did

but he was only hoping to string it along to get past the election

]why you think costello is hanging in in parliment[
must be some parlimentry protection in sitting in parliment

..>>the funds that this year
have been sending worrying notices of plummeting value
with short cover notes
to the effect that in the long term it will be OK..<<

bro your dreaming

houses are still 35 percent too high
rents are too high
average wages indexed way below real inflation

wage earners paying their gst[road tax[speed camera revenue]
we been taxed to death[while the wealthy got their tax CUTS

have you noticed the'insurors'are advertising for new money
their under writers should be selling to pay off pay outs to coorperations creating securities that never were real securities

[what the bail out isnt covering is the increased burdon on the general tax payer[who need a real tax cut]plus an increase in wages[dream on about getting that]

..>>The rapacious wolves continue to blow, the houses still totter, more money is pledged, more guarantees given to make us feel safe. This quick fix can't last:we know that from the fairy story. There’s only so much money in the national cookie jar...<<

well there is the rub

see we have fiat money
[or rather the private banker owned and controlled fed does]

[it simply orders the mint to print[all it needs]
thus'they'can print all they need to steal it all[real assets]
and own the media[so as to not let it be revealed]

we dont need gold or silver to make money anymore
its fiat paper[we[they]just print it]

but it[in being created from thin air
,ok via a fed/res book entry]thus inflates the AMMOUNT in circulation

in short it costs more paper to buy less goods
banks just do monetary swaps

result hyper inflation[arround mid year[we should have that neo[new]carbontax by then]if not earlier

till then we have growing stagflation

continued

this 'cash money' is the easy fix
[they can and will spend as much as is needed
[govt just borrows MORE from the fed[at intrest]

its just like an extra tax but its not called tax

but we do have the new tax[the global carbon tax]
that big buisness buys and SELLS

the second it is rationed out [it becomes like buying up water licences [or broadcast spectrum[or dot com [or commodities booms [and busts ]

its the same thing

more buyers speculating[like they recently did to wheat corn sugar and OIL]
you see any limit creates scarcity,
scarcity create's a better grade of invest ment

just wait toll these carbon credits are legislated
[you aint seen nothing yet]

the bankers are saving their CASH credit for the sure thing the car-bon-bon TAX

noting usa passed the carbon tax bill
with that huge bailout bill

it wont be long

the fools will cheer paying this new tax
[subsidy for big buisness/bankers next cash cow
[linked to the tax payers earnings

it is all unconstitutional
[but then so was feul tax,
booze tax [fag tax and heaps of other sneaky taxes
loaded upon the taxpayee

[pay as you earn taxed wage slaves]
who really believe that govt goives a damm
who thinks federal reserve is owned by us taxpayers

who really think the media is serving us
thinks lawyers arnt serving their court system
who think income tax is legal on wages[lol]

its a joke [quite funny really]

we are distracted by sports
[law and order , cooking and info-taintment programing]

the annual mercury laden flue shot
metal fleurides in our water

a horendous death rate FROM LEGAl DRUGS
[every day [in usa alone] the equivelent of 5 jumbojets worth DIE from adverse reaction to perscribed drugs alone]1 in every 100 hospital stays is advers reaction[1 in 10 results in death

and lots of other hidden stuff
we simply been conned into believing
because of our dumbed down education system
