I agree wholeheartedly with the author, communication is a basic requirement for life, especially the life of a government. So far at least the Rudd Government seems to be an innovation lead government. Lest us hope they continue to be so as well as one that recognises generational change when needed in around six years.

Well the way the US economy is deflating perhaps the incoming government better have a really solid look at the real state of Australian society and implement plans to ameliorate the unfolding Depression to insulate Australians from the most pernicious effects.

But maybe I am too hopeful and these coots will just shuffle the deck chairs and line their pockets.
