This was a story of a mother's devotion in a developed country. There is mother's devotion everywhere. I am reminded of a woman in Africa who walked for 2 weeks carrying her sick child to get to a clinic. When she got there she discovered that the clnic had closed down. Her one hope dashed. Now she simply had to wait for the death of her child.

Norway and Africa. Equal devotion but in different environments offering different outcomes.
