Isn't it likely that all drinking water in India is contaminated with pesticides and the soft drink companies are using drinking water just like everybody else and therefore the soft drinks are ending up with pesticides in them.

If Milk and vegetables have higher levels of pesticides than soft drinks it is a very strong indication that it is the water not the soft drinks. Why run down the soft drinks when everything is high in pesticides.

India will need a lot of good luck to feed the 500 million more people projected by 2050 if they are already getting too much pesticides in their water. Looks like the "green revolution" isn't as perfect as we thought.

Did you ever try Googling "CIA + coca cola" (no quotes)?

It's awfully amusing. (CIA = Culinary Institute of America, btw).

- likewise Google "Stepan Chemical + coca cola" (no quotes).

Stepan Chemical play a vital role in the preparation of some of the ingredients apparently.

- happy Googling - happy swigging all!
