Good article Tom,

It is outrageous that after 10 years in government and despite numerous reports, the best that Abbott can come up with is the return of paternalism.

Isn't he able to see that the constant underfunding of his governemt, the slashing of programs that were working and the beating of the racist drum all have contributed to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders difficulties.

Evoking racial intolerance is a standard practice for JH as I can remember some very anti-asian comments he made while he and Peacock were battling for leadership of the opposition many years ago.

Good on you for speaking out against Tony Abbott and his desire to return to paternalism.
