Methinks young Walter has a bone to pick with Bush and buddies.

Can't think why.

His good points (eg Iraq is mainly about OIL, the true value of Ethanol equals political payback (in our own land huge subsidies for ethanol will win the sacrosanct Queensland Sugar Seats)) fairly wilt under the weight of his many additional concerns.

His essay reads like campaign soap-box talking points for the liberal left (in America this virtually equates with Communists - Crikey!) wing of the Democratic Party.

Like our own Democrats the likes of Walter are not meant for politics. He sounds like too nice a guy.

Is it any wonder John Howard admires George Bush so much. This is just the sort of society Howard and his business cronies want for Australia. Will get there soon.

When you are getting your wealth transferred to Asia, i would begin to get greedy too.

He has to protect and grow what he has got even though all the fiscal and growth forces are against him (Bush). Johhny has little other role models does he not?

It is easy to throw stones without seeing the bigger picture.

Small minded masses.

Bush/renewable energy my left foot.Actions speak louder than words.Sign the Kyoto agreement; actually commit himself, his country and his money instead of procrastinating.Re:Free Energy Patent show on ABC or SBS Three and half months ago about the free energy concepts in USA. All Patents were denied! Yet USA government is allowed to copy or attempt some of these patents themselves. It's not going to line his pocket so he's not really interested(he thinks there's only $ in oil not saving the planet we live in).We all know you need the fellows in charge(govt) to be excited to get the ball rolling. It is so disgustingly obvious that he is in Iraq for oil. It is the only thing he and his family are interested in. Let's face it he originaly went in for Bin Laden; couldn't find him so Bush thought he still needed a legit reason to be there; how about we get Saddam? Now don't get me wrong Saddam does need punishing for his crimes. Thats what United Nations is for; not was for; IS for.I think that we are only antagonising the situation by being there. The Iraqi's do know their country better than us maybe we should get out of there and let them run it.You'd think after all the wars, we'd finally realise that going into someone elses country and trying to take over doesn't work and will never accomplish anything more than division.Wars always kill and maim more civilains than villians.Make love not war, walk when you can, reuse recycle, let's try and make our world a much cleaner, more friendly place.Free the Energy, please Mr Bush read the Indian Creed;only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.Health and Happiness
