I agree we're cutting back our working hours, but it would be interesting to know whether it's associated with less pay. That is, it seems to me that people felt pressured to work longer in the 80s and 90s, and increased their hours (for the same pay), but that to get back to a sane working week, many are cutting back their hours to a more reasonable 35-40 per week, but doing it by going part-time (i.e. at their expense). I have friends who've got back to thirty-five hours a week, but only by working 0.8. Does anyone else have this experience?
