Thanks for the warning Christopher ! Howard and the Nationals pretend to fight for "democracy" in Iraq and Afghanistan while continuing to whittle away Australians' democratic and judicial rights at home .

Where will John Howard's contribution finally stand stand in Australia's history? Sadly on another page in the "black- armband" chapters.

I echo the comments of Kartiya. Thanks Christopher! I don't how this one slipped by without significant protest. I have in the last couple of years become a great believer in the need for Australia to have a bill of rights and hope that this movement continues to grow.

The standards set by the ECHR are the key here. An Australian Bill of Rights (constitutional) will provide similar standards for Australia.
