Open-borders Australia learns nothing from Carney visit : Comments

By Stephen Saunders, published 13/3/2026

Leaving Albanese as a world outlier, Carney has stymied Canada’s population growth, to ease the housing pain. Sigh, his Australian visit was all framed around 'middle powers' vs Trump.

nice piece, pretty much similar to my thoughts.

Carney is far superior to Albo.

Do we have a Carney here? do not think so because most mainstream pollies here are more interested in keep the deck of cards building higher and higher.

When a recognised leftist country like Canada puts a break on immigration, and actually reduces its population by 76, 000, it shows Australia up as well off the planet when it comes to lefty extremism under the Albanese Socialist party - but also what used to be a pretend right of centre party.

Australia is a “world outlier” alright; suicidal, in fact, for a Western country. How long it will even be a Western country is the big question!

How long before we will before we are like native Brits, living a WW11 blitz existence, with the enemy, protected by Labour’, already in the country.

Albanese's idea of ‘social cohesion’ is stopping valid criticisms by Anglo/European Australians of multiculturalism, mass immigration and his population change plans. We are expected to just fit in with it all and shut up, while he builds his ethnic paradise. He and the uniparty in general cannot admit that they have made a huge mistake in dividing the country the way they have done - that, or they are stupid enough to still think that their reckless, undemocratic social engineering is the way to go.

And, how dare anyone who came up with the divisive ‘Voice’ idea talk about social cohesion.

Never heard of Jill Sheppard. What an arrogant b….. Kos Samaras is the male equivalent. At least the mouthing off of these backroom types exposes what goes on behind retail politics and hopefully makes people think harder before they cast their votes for the dimwits who are advised by such murky characters.

Thanks for a top-notch article Steve.
