The so-called "Palestinians" do not want a state of their own and it is not possible to force anyone to have a state against their will.
They CLAIM they want a state, for the media, but will then use every possible excuse why it cannot happen "yet" and must be postponed indefinitely. They are welcome to have it of course, but running a state means responsibility and accountability, it also means facing their bitter internal differences democratically - they don't want any of that, only Israel's destruction and if they ever succeed, they would reunite with Syria the next day. Nevertheless, the residents of 1967's occupied territories deserve decent conditions and to live without fear - and the world should protect them even while they do not want a state. The world should tell Israel unequivocally that any territory beyond its pre-1967 area is clearly not theirs - and then back it up with whatever is necessary to keep Israel out. It was previously believed that there is no way the UN security council can vote to reprimand Israel and take actions to keep it out of 1967's occupied territories due to an American veto, but this just changed today as it was revealed what Trump really thinks about Netanyahu: "He's screwing me!" - http://www.ynetnews.com/article/xl3qvie5k Hopefully this will translate into a security-council resolution to keep Israel within its original borders, even using sanctions and force as necessary. I am not naive to believe that Israel CAN remove the Jewish Messianic settlers out of the West Bank even if it wanted to - these fanatics are just too strong and violent, so attempting to remove them will start a fully-fledged civil war within Israel which would leave it in ashes. Instead, the implementation should be carried out by an international force, headed by America which by now too had enough of Netanyahu's crimes. Of course, international law is only of interest to these Palestine enthusiasts if it can be used against Israel.
