$120 per MWh is similar to wind/solar balanced by lithium batteries except that the batteries may not recharge every day. Some ask how a 300 MW SMR can replace a 2000 GW coal plant. Build a cluster of them and use the coal plant cooling pond, transmission lines and former employees. When the northern hemisphere has several SMRs up and running by around 2030 then the southern hemisphere will sign on. That's for desalination, data centres, metals processing, hydrogen and grid stabilisation. If we don't things will unravel.

There'd have to quite a number of decommissioned nuclear-powered warships around the World that could be used to provide power for years to come & at an affordable rate !
Just replace bureaucrats with pragmatists & all will be good !
