Therefore, mathematically, Generative AI favours effectiveness at the expense of novelty. Creativity, on the other hand, seeks to maximise both effectiveness and novelty.

There once was a time when horse and carts were the normal mode of transport, then came Henry Ford and mass production of motor vehicles: Everybody aspired to ownership of a “T” model Ford.

I’m sure we’ll acclimatise to AI very quickly: More speedily than the old folk on the range adjusted to new technology, and the reality of a motorised tractor to plough the bottom forty.

Like anything artificial, it won't be as good as the real thing.

When you put a question to Google now, AI is always on top. Sometimes the answer is right, sometimes it is wrong. Other times, the answer comes word-for-word from another source: e.g a user manual or something you have read in books.

I'm not sure what intelligence is behind this article, but it cannot be seen; on my device anyway. All I have is the heading.
