Could the US election result dent the 'Huge Australia' plan? : Comments

By Stephen Saunders, published 11/11/2024

Here we go again. Falsely, ABC claims Australia 'doesn’t have' a population plan. But we do – and it’s massive. Can Donald Trump’s victory change that at all?

Trump said he wants to deport 11m undocumented migrants. Pundits say that will create a shortage of farm labour. That will increase the cost of food thereby increasing inflation along with tariffs, tax cuts and a no longer independent Federal Reserve. If there is a backlash Australia must take note.

Apparently Australia has 2.6m temporary visa holders. The theory may have been that they would quietly return to their countries of origin but clearly most want permanent residence. Acknowledging they are here for good should be factored in to population policy. Switzerland is getting a population cap of 10m by 2050. They lack space then again they are not 70% desert.

Albo's big fantasy is that Australia can take indefinite population growth all the while being a renewable energy superpower. He can't see the problems already here and in the future; Switzerland can.

Australia definitely has a population problem which, in turn, is creating a few undesirable crises. The crises will never be solved or even addressed until the underlying problem is addressed.
It seems that none of our political parties have a clue as to how to address the issues except Sustainable Australia.

Both Labor and the Coalition will continue reducing our standard of living with mass immigration. Do not vote for either of them at the coming election. Reduce their primary votes even further. Do not fall for their 'danger of minority government' BS. Both parties have gone too far to the Left. They need tempering.

More dumb ass crusties promoting the US nativist Rockefeller Bros. ZPG now Tanton Network anti-immigrant (post 1970s wink wink); dec. white nationalist John 'passive eugenics' Tanton, anti-Catholic, anti-semitic*, Islamophobic and pro-abortion.

Of course locally SPA, TAPRI, MB and RW MSM, with bipartisan bigotry on all things immigration?

Really nasty types with Trump team on immigration, including Stephen Miller* who used to work for Jeff Sessions a friend of Tanton's, yet Miller is Jewish (and described by the centre as Trump's Goebbels)

What is this worship and submission to unethical & immoral authority by freedom loving conservatives, why not got to a place of worship?

Simply 21stC white Christian nationalism has usurped conservative values?

Love to respond, "Andras", if only I had an English translation.
