Netanyahu is dragging Israel down on his catastrophic journey to hell : Comments

By Alon Ben-Meir, published 8/8/2024

Prime Minister Netanyahu, and no other, has brought Israel to this fateful state with no escape without sustaining a significant blow that will scar every Israeli within its wake.

Many of the people that Hamas killed on 7 October were peaceniks; the ones who agreed with this author. They were killed anyway.
That's because, like Hitler, Hamas does not believe Jews should exist. The author would be lucky to survive if was ever under its control.

Only a cosseted academic could produce this drivel, while Israel is fighting for its survival.

Israel's ambassador to Australia was called in and told that if Israel went to war with Hezbollah terrorists it could not expect Australia's support.

Not yet called in is Iran’s ambassador, who called for the "Zionist Plague" (Israel) to be "wiped out".

This time I have to disagree with the author which I otherwise appreciate:

"The answer to these troubling generational questions is NETANYAHU"

No. Netanyahu is only a symptom, Netanyahu is only the middleman, the correct answer is MOSHE DAYAN and his 1967 unending "6 day" war.

Netanyahu is not the first Israeli to wage a war for personal gain.
While there are well-known and passable excuses for Israel's 1967 war,
the true motive in Dayan's heart had none to do with them:
all he really cared about was to control vast new history-rich areas so that he could loot their archaeological sites and add valuable "souvenirs" to his private backyard archaeological-artefact collection.

Nothing of ill-intention can lead into long-term pleasant results, and so the poison swallowed by Israel in June 1967 penetrated deeply and introduced violence into every walk of Israeli life, including even domestic and road violence. Israel was subsequently corroded from within and lost its way. The recent abscess called "Netanyahu" is only one symptom, Hamas is another.

The author concludes, "There will be no salvation until Netanyahu is driven out of power" - No, that won't do the trick:
there will be no salvation until Israel withdraws from all territories it took in 1967 and finally ends this so-far 57-year war, of criminal motives.

The author blames the Messianic extremist cult that took control over Israel, yet I cannot do the same: zealots will always behave as zealots do who truly believe that God is unconditionally on their side, sharks will bite as sharks do, the insane, hearing voices from above, will necessarily behave insanely - and that's OK, so long as they are not allowed to run the asylum!

"Does Netanyahu understand?..."

Of course he does, he is smart enough, but he wants what he wants and for that he needs the war to continue indefinitely, assuming he didn't even start it deliberately in full coordination with his friend Sinwar.

Dear Ttbn,

«like Hitler, Hamas does not believe Jews should exist.»

Ditto for Netanyahu, unless these Jews happen to be his family and supporters.
