By Graham Young, published 30/5/2024

Australians are particularly susceptible to online scams, despite having a full swathe of internet safety regulators.

The problem is that people now want someone else, a Big Brother, to make them safe: or make them feel safe.

Politicians telling you that they want to keep you safe just means that they want to control you: interfere in your life ‘for your own good’.

I want to be safe from the political class; I want them to rack off and mind their own business, and I act accordingly. No social media. No smartphone dependency. No alcohol. No drugs. Trust nobody I don't know.

Scams? It's hard to sympathise with people who get caught, except if they are obviously mentally defective. Scammers are low-down skunks. Most of the scammed are gullible idiots or just plain greedy.

Why should anyone be so foolish as to expect favours from politicians or the bureaucrats they employ?

They are predators, they exist and always existed for themselves alone - to think that they would ever try to help ordinary people, is madness!

Dear Indyvidual,

«And, so are those on the other side»

Other side of what?
I don't seem to get you.

Dear Indyvidual,

This is not my experience - everyday people are generally good and just try to live their lives as peacefully as possible. It is not our fault that the regime herds us into "electorates" and all that - there is nothing we can do about them, just try to survive between the drops, certainly not play the politicians' own internal games.
