Record business collapses – why am i not surprised? : Comments

By Stuart Ballantyne, published 3/5/2024

300 staff, an asset base of $14m, a full order book of small ship design and builds worth $12m, all approved by the Government’s Export Finance department and an interest rate at the time of 22% for an overdraft, what could possibly go wrong?

All will be well when the Albanese Soviets use taxpayers' money to 'back winners'. They can't do there own job - government. Now they are going to stuff private enterprise just like Communist regimes always do.

Well, the supermarkets are doing just fine, as are the banks, miners and a million other businesses in Australia, Australia is very fertile ground for business. The reason Mr Ballantyne's business failed is most likely because Mr Ballanttyne was a poor businessman. A Labor hater from way back, and still whinging, bet he's woke up, and now is a multi-millionaire thanks to his business operations.

I heard on the radio: if things don't get better then Albo might go for an election at the end of this year. What Gesture Political campaigns await between now and then? Student debt remission, surfing on the Biden wave?

Thanks for the item.

Thanks Stuart Ballantyne for the article. Some great lines. For example... "Imagine being gifted the Leadership of Australia! A huge island nation with unimaginable mineral and agricultural wealth and an all year round climate for working and living. What an absolute gift indeed, to any vision oriented leader!". We see a lot of closed shops around since the Covid mirage representing many broken lives and a broken economy brought about by bad management. I suppose that at some point the electorate will realise that their votes do make a difference even in this corrupt democracy- where power of the people has become a disempowered people. But don't believe what they tell us, remember that they will try and cover their faults by distraction. In retrospect it's always fascinating how they are able to distort our reality. Vote to support your family within a nation that serves you rather than special interest groups.
