Gaza: send lawyers, guns and money : Comments

By Arthur Dent, published 20/11/2023

The fan is rotating rapidly and things are hitting it. Old policies have collapsed and policy makers are still talking incoherent nonsense.

Since 1936, the Arabs have rejected offers of a two-state system five times. Israel agreed to all the proposals even though they would have had less land than the Arabs.

And, nobody is going to take any notice of Arthur Dent (formerly Albert Langer), “a left-wing political activist”, as he describes himself.

An interesting viewpoint and not without merit.
However who really cares?
The way homo sapiens is heading no one will be around to see the result.

This author is the world's champion in bursting into open doors.

"They will need to use their navies to break the blockade of Gaza"

This is the funniest thing I heard in a long time:

What blockade?
The only reason for that blockade was to prevent armaments from reaching Hamas.
No Hamas - no blockade.

And if the British and the French are willing to do this dirty work for Israel, then Israel will immediately and joyfully withdraw and turn all its guns to the air to salute them!

As I just noted on another thread, at least 30% of Israelis (plus some of the 14% that have no opinion) will consider what the author offered to be the very best option.

They won't need lots of guns, only lots of musical instruments for military brass bands to march across Gaza...

Why are people still talking about a two state solution ?
It has been made quite clear that land once held by moslims remains
moslem land forever.
They cannot defy the Koran and accept a two state solution.
That is why the slogan "From the River to the Sea" is used as it
encompasses all the land.
The only acceptable solution to Islam is for ALL Jews to be removed
or killed. They have said it often enough.
When will people take them at their word ?
A solution involving Britain & France is stupid and I am sure neither
of them would accept it.
Perhaps if Israel does clear out all known Hamas, they could then
hand it over to the OIS, the Organisation of Islamic states and let
them secure Gaza and finance it all from their oil revenues.
I think they would have trouble with Iran, but Israel could make it
clear that if they rearm Garza they would have to deal with Israel.
Iran is determined to become the Number One Islamic country and turf
Saudi Arabia out of that spot.
That is what all this has been about all the time.

Sorry, but nobody wants a bar of Gaza. And as long as Hamas is running the show, thus it will remain.

Money and guns? Hamas would just use them to commit more atrocities. Hamas brought this on Gaza and is on the record saying will repeat the atrocities again and again!

And the Author would give them guns and money, lots of guns and money.

What planet are on mate and WTF are smoking?

"Hamas began accepting the 1967 borders in the agreements it signed with Fatah in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In 2017, Hamas released a new charter that supported a transitional Palestinian state within the 1967 borders without recognizing Israel. Hamas's repeated offers of a truce (for a period of 10–100 years) based on the 1967 borders are seen by many as being consistent with a two-state solution"
