What a typically blinkered and ideologically tainted piece. Rather contradictory in places as well.
The author even managed to include the "culturally Marxist" trope. That a national Voice might not be achieved is of course disappointing, but here in Victoria we have had a state Voice working since 2019 and are well on the way to a treaty. All the other States seem to be starting or are already on a similar journey. This is where much of the work will happen and regionally dealing with these issues is possibly a more workable path in the long run even though constitutional recognition would have been something to celebrate. We are still left with the extraordinary race powers within the Constitution, and a federal Voice could have informed their application. Perhaps in the long term representatives from the State based Voices might ultimately make up a Federal body to take that role. Hard to say who did more damage to Australian society, the Goaf or the present excuse of a PM.

John Howard did the most damage to our society, by a country mile.

Hear, hear and well said Sir! At this time, bread and butter issues dominate! None more pressing than the cost of electricity. Why, even leading oil producer, Suadi Arabia sees the writing on the wall as she scrambles to electrify the transport sector.
Our mob, although willing to take on nuclear submarines ASAP, keeps sane nuclear power, for the domestic market, off the table, even as it's clearly now the best, safest, cleanest and cheapest option. Alan B. Posted by Alan B., Friday, 13 October 2023 11:16:33 AM

Everybody knows … . Galatians 7-8-9 : A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59sFfjA2Nmg&ab_channel=LeonardCohen-Topic . Albanese is ignoring just about everything that concerns voters because of his obsession with the horrible Voice. He must be punished. If Labor wants another term in office, it must be Labor itself that does the punishing by getting rid of him.
And, aboriginal Australians must get rid of their self-appointed 'leaders', and demonstrate that they are not helpless and in need of favours just because of their race. And all Australians need to take more notice of what is happening, and oust the rubbish seat warmers in Canberra for something better.
