Well, they could, they might, and the Chinese may build a restaurant on the dark side of the moon.

The food may be out of this world, but the joint will have absolutely no atmosphere. And keeping the food warm would be a logistical nightmare.

Sitting down and talking is worth something even if nothing of moment is resolved.

And who knows, it might even conclude with an agreed, two state solution?

Much more likely than a Chinese restaurant on the moon, and much more likely than him talking about this idiotic HKOPS, is Bibi discussing with anyone he can, including the Saudis, about the prospects of getting an asylum in their country for him and his family once his corruption trials approach conviction.

Why is it that people can't see that as long as there are Israelis & Palestinians no true peace can be achieved there !
The same goes for people of different clans all over the planet. As long as people use long past wrongs as the base for an argument without acknowledging any of the benefits from that past then that long there will be no peace !
Clans have over time become societies & even nations & so, the original queries are no longer valid excuses to perpetuate instability in society !

There are wars because people have a need for wars.

In particular those in power, for wars help them to unite the people behind them so they can stay in power, diverting their subjects' energies against some "enemy" instead of being used to topple them.

That is what Putin is doing in Ukraine, that is the core mechanism that allowed the horrific abuses in Orwell's book "1984" - and the Middle-East "conflict" is no exception.

Clans by themselves are not a problem - it is the corrupt "leadership" of clans which is constantly interested in reminding the people under their control of "long past wrongs".

Don't actually the Israelis and the so-called "Palestinians" originate in the same clan?
