Deaths at sea: from the Titan to the Mediterranean : Comments

By Binoy Kampmark, published 27/6/2023

Mortality at sea is becoming a theme of late. The nature of how that mortality has been represented, however, has varied.

"Those who perished on the Titan should be grieved."

They will be. By their family and friends. Not by people who are not fabulously rich and idle enough to take such risks. The media is always happy to try whipping up emotions in the masses on stuff not affecting the masses; but they are not much interested in the things that do affect the masses in their own, ordinary lives, and the screwing over they are getting from the Albanese government.

Most people will not be the slightest bit interested in this incident- nor should they be.

Screwed over not only by the Albanese government, but also by the Dutton Opposition, which is today demanding that the government spend even more money we don’t have on Ukraine. China, climate change pandemics etc are not our worst enemies. Our worst enemy is our rotten political class. Money is being misspent on stuff not helping us one bit, while power prices surge, all prices surge, and more and more people have nowhere to live.

Everything written about here, and in the media, is insignificant compared to the incompetence and corruption of our political class. It's a problem that most Australians don't seem to think about or do anything about. As was send by one commentator over the weekend: Australians hate freedom and democracy.

The difference between the billionaire and the refugee.
The billionaire- was trying to do something great using their own resources.
The refugee- was trying to get unearned sustenance rather than reforming their own nations and creating their own independent wealth.

The current refugee flood is spread by communist and strategic influences internally and externally to western society in the form of communist superpowers and failing states- both unable or strategically unwilling to manage their own nation.

There are some issues with world energy and other scarce resources for world stability.

The EU has followed Australia's strategy of towing refugees and asylum seekers away from its shore while admiring the reckless oligarchs who lost their lives in a shonky submarine near the Titanic graveyard.

They are following best practice in anti-human policies and strategies widely practiced by new despots in likeminded liberal democracies.

Our media and Parliament are brainwashed and never questions why are growing numbers of people leaving their homes and taking massive risks to reach a crumbling and reckless EU and what can be done to prevent this?. In particular, the need for a new Security and Development architecture for all nations not just the self-selected Anglo-American empire and EU.

Good work on the demolition of the absurd comparison with illegals made by Kampark.

They needed a vessel that would tolerate pressure at 4,000 feet, Which then would not have imploded at 3800 feet. This morbid interest in a watery graveyard is what killed them. And if they had not sort to profit from it? They might still be with us.

As for "refugees" and as for "asylum" seekers? Many are simply economic migrants seeking economic opportunity. Or worse, criminals seeking to escape justice.

We need to deploy unbeatable space age lie detection when processing these folk. Then if they pass muster send where we need workers. Fruit picking etc on a minimum wage and require them to learn our language and customs over ten years before they become eligible for social security benefits. Or other work!

If they fail the lie detector test send them back from whence they came. And if necessary sedated.

Never again can we allow a so-called refugee/Con artist/criminal to operate a people trafficking racket from these shores!
