This is last week's news. Australians weren't interested then; they are not interested now. The political class can do anything it chooses to do to Australian Lotus-eaters.

It’s highly amusing to me to see entire generations captured by the myth of social media.

People seem to lose their perspective view of the past. Social media is a new kid on the block.
The world has lost the art of discretionary speech and personal responsibility.

Keep your mouth shut, mind your own business, and let sleeping dogs lie, are matched with the Proverbs 10:19 which says,
“When there are many words, sin is unavoidable, but the one who controls his lips is wise.”

Wise words from our cultural past!

And so they should have! So much misinformation needed to be prevented along with out and out lies. Thick as 2 bricks believed most of the BS and somebody needed to take it down!

Activists wanted the maximum death toll from covid, and our politicians and public health did a Stirling job under the circumstances as did Pizer!

Nobody was safe from COVID and so the politicians were also in the firing line or maybe more so, rolled out the gold-plated/best available response as soon as they believed they had it.

Yes, they were slow off the mark and there were a number of mistakes that compounded the pandemic, made it worse. And thing that could have should have been tried weren't.

But that's all water under the bridge and irreversible history, the mischief makers will try and use to make mischief.

Who in their right mind wants to share information publicly when we all know that governments have such KGB departments designed to glue us to their "society"?

If you want to tell the truth to your friends and family, use E-mails and preferably encrypt them, or the dark-web, or best old-fashioned paper letters, human messengers or pigeons!

In some places we can still sneak at night and place paper stickers on buildings, bus-stops and the like without being caught, they still do it even in Russia, writing and joking against the war and in support of Ukraine, although this becomes more and more dangerous.

That's also why they took away our copper-based analogue phone lines, that are harder to surveil.
A few of us still have analogue radio equipment to bypass the internet, I wonder for how long still.

One thing is clear: those naive enough who still fantasize on reforming government have their answer in the Bible:
"Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil." [Jeremiah 13:23]

- Let us pray for the speedy fulfillment of the following verse, which only God can (Jeremiah 13:24): "I will scatter you like chaff driven by the desert wind."!
