Malaysia's new prime minister, is being forced to take on as his deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who faces 47 counts of criminal breach of trust, corruption and money laundering charges.

It's a dilemma with no easy solution. When one needs to do deals with devil to obtain power. One becomes beholden! And more and more enmeshed with every turn.

For mine this might be resolved with a referendum and the Deputy forced to face absolutely independent legal justice. And if cleared, reinstated. Particularly if the claimed charges have no substance. Not a new phenomenon in Malaysia!
