Every man and his dog is aware of the dumbing down of education in all areas, from primary school to tertiary level. As with all things Western these days, nothing is being done about it. The West is rooted; and who cares about Malaysia, apart from Murray.

Nitwits in is nitwits out. And providing the coffee machine continues to work and the level of input into National production doesn’t exceed the depth of a frothy Latte coffee, all will be well with the foreign workforce as a compensation: Nitwits in is nitwits out

Been going downhill for years, I remember Prof. David Walsh of Sydney Uni.saying that he had to get a student to read his essay out loud so that he could be marked as he, David, could not read the handwriting; most essays were handwritten in the 1980s.
Another student handed in an essay written in pencil on brown paper, he wasn’t so lucky and had to rewrite on white paper with black ink.
I used to correct essays for many years and there was a definite decline in the presented work, high distinctions, distinctions and credits became rarer and plain passes became much commoner.
