Nothing we can do about it. As the West gets weaker, the barbarians in places like Iran get stronger. Western politicians are too frightened to do anything about Iran. And Western feminists won't say boo.
It’s not women Western feminists care about. It’s only leftist feminist women they care about. And the Western media will be bored by the whole thing by this Friday. Posted by ttbn, Wednesday, 28 September 2022 9:09:22 AM

I absolutely agree with all the sentiments expressed in the article. But fail to see, without going to war, how we here in the west can change anything that currently happens in Iran.
This is one for the Iranian people and if needs must, the only way to resolve this issue is with the assignation of the autocratic cabal that makes these inhuman laws. And threaten us all with their nuclear weapon ambitions. I believe that those who see the reporting of the murder of a Kurdish woman by being beaten to death at the hands of "morality" police, as being a left wing nutter, need to be subjected to the same treatment as the murdered woman! Just to establish mental clarity. [If it was your mother, sister, daughter or wife, still ok?] And with that outcome, make this world a far better and safer place for "normal" humans! Alan B. Dear Ttbn,
«Nothing we can do about it. As the West gets weaker, the barbarians in places like Iran get stronger. Western politicians are too frightened to do anything about Iran.» It is not politicians (Western or otherwise) that we need help from, who indeed, like all humans, are weak. Effective help can only come from the almighty - so let us pray! Yes, there is something we can do: let us pray for the freedom of all women and men, let us pray for the fall of the cruel Iranian regime, falsely depicting itself as representative of Allah. I am going to assume that all I read in the news has a basis of fact.
If so, it was a horrible thing that was done to Jina. It is difficult to contemplate the distress of that helpless woman. To think that another human being was subjected to such intolerance! I have not heard of anything which would make one think Jina was other than a good person. What worries me most is an apparent lack of compassion shown towards her. I am sure that not every law enforcement agent behaves unreasonably, but there are sufficient of them to make life difficult? I don't see a short term fix for this. It is difficult to change the thinking of the masses. Usually a national tragedy like war will make them stop and consider their actions. But they are a long way from that. I think it true that change must come from inside the country. There is a limited amount those outside can do to change attitudes or behaviour there. She passed out and dropped in the police station, there's footage of it.
Whatever your feelings are about Iranian society and their treatment of women: - I'm not sure she was beaten by police you may well be falling for western propaganda. What is Really Behind Iran's Unrest? http://youtu.be/nKsTg9C9c-o Posted by Armchair Critic, Friday, 30 September 2022 1:21:05 AM
