It could of course be said that the author is himself a member of the dead parrot's squarking fraternity!
But who really controls the economics and by extension the politics of Australia, and do they even give a bucket full of guano droppings about the interests of small business owners and the common man too?

The woke left? You mean, anyone who disagrees with your right wing take on everything?

Aside from that the green movement are no friends of mine with the push to deindustrialize Australia. Push renewables and back ups to the enth. To make energy here in Oz the world's most expensive.

Their model for sustainable populations would see around seven billion people exterminated by starvation, most likely?

And the world sent back to the horse and cart days and gust bust, dawn to dark food production.

Stand firmly behind mountainous BS to prevent nuclear power in this country. And all but blackmail labor with their preference swaps (dirty deals done in the dead of ight) to ensure this remains so.

Given nuclear power would reindustrialize and massively so and allow us to get out of our moribund dependance on China for all manufactured consumer goods!

And massively boost our sluggish pandemic damaged economy and draw down debt with economic growth and energy dependent automation. That will allow factories to roll day and night with very few human hands involved.

And a must if we are not to stagnate for double digit decades!

Excellent article except for one point. "America and the UK were well prepared militarily for the second world war...". Unfortunately they were hopelessly unprepared. Particularly the UK which had almost totally disarmed itself. They were a hairs breadth away from being invaded and did not have the capacity to repel such an invasion had it occurred. We too are hopelessly undefended and have a much more onerous task, given we have a whole continent to defend compared to a small island like the UK.
Its seems our leaders are intent on destroying us. And not just Australia. the entire western world is taking the same suicidal path. I don't know whether these "leaders" are intentionally trying to destroy us, or if they are just so propagandized that they believe they are doing the right thing.

An interesting and thought provoking article.
My only criticism is the use of the word 'that' in place of 'which' in several places.
Otherwise, it is a smooth read.
