Michael Scott’s “Cruise of the Midge”, reads like any part of Macedonian history: A small and lonely ship, asail on a hostile ocean and at war with the foibles of Nature, and vulnerable to a pirates determination to plunder a weakness for profit.

One of the strangest concepts I ever encountered - "identity needs".

Why should anyone "need" identity when you are already who you are?
Nobody, whatever they possibly do, can ever take your identity away!

The author even lists these five "needs" (which have nothing to do with identity):
"Macedonians are peaceful people who need
1. connectedness
2. security
3. recognition
4. self-esteem driven action and
5. the need for meaning."

1 - we are all connected already. If the author believes that we should be connected in other ways, then s/he should be more precise.
2 - there is no security on earth, never will. If the author is seeking some sort of temporary security measures, then s/he should be more specific.
3 - being recognised by others is a neurotic desire, not a need.
4 - whether one esteem themselves and take action in accordance, is their private business, not something that others can take away.
5 - no objective meaning exists nor is there a need for it - we can all be fine without it.

I wish well for Macedonia, but in order to go forward and succeed, the author and his people require some education to dispel such superstitious and unhelpful "needs".

I know nothing about these claims or if they are the truth or claims posted as true!

I mean Orthodox Russian Christians are busy in Ukraine, butchering babies, killing kindy kids and murdering their mums! In an unprovoked attack on a peaceful neighbour! The latter supported by irrefutable evidence.

Yes there is a democratic solution to the latter and ought to occur in Russia with the tyrant voted out of office! And imprisoned for the term of his natural life or to face a firing squad, for heinous war crimes that he ordered!

As for the other It should be resolved internally by all the affected parties!
