Trump created this problem by ordering the Fed bank to hold rates down and then continuing to ramp up record debt as pump priming to created record economic growth. The growth came but not the checks and balances to put a lid on inbuilt inflation.

Energy prices are a factor, but given the U.S. is a net energy exporter, not so much.

Inflation could be killed in its tracks with the transition to MSR thorium nuclear energy and retail power prices as low as 3 cents PKWH.

Let's hope the bone heads and the energy barons with their checkbooks are sidelined, as this proposal gets a nod from those with an operating moral compass and still able to use the brains they were born with.
