UNGA & Guterres fiddle while Ukraine & the UN Charter burn : Comments

By David Singer, published 22/3/2022

It is incomprehensible that the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has held its Fifth Consultation on Our Common Agenda (Fifth Consultation) on 10 March at the same time as 2.597 million Ukrainians have been forced to flee their country.

I don't know what a deeply divided U.N. could do, given they need to speak with one voice in order for anything to be done? And we've all seen how ineffective the blue helmets have been as civilians were butchered before their disbelieving eyes!

Moreover, any effective actions could precipitate world war 3! so, David, what exactly do you want to see happen and by who, exactly? Whose gun would you load for them as you point them at Russia, with attack them boy, instructions?

Israel perhaps, given their military prowess and successes?

Yawn, that stupid organisation still exists?

The only purpose of this expensive geriatric body is to dispose of overdue politicians who are too famous to be sent to ordinary nursing homes, sending them off instead to a glamorous yet harmless retirement.

Why this author, on many of his other articles, strangely maintains his ridiculous claim as if Israel's creation depended on none other but that irrelevant and impotent institute...

One other oddment about the author is his contempt for fiddle/violin players: what's so wrong or laughable about Guterres producing some nice music instead of completely wasting his time doing nothing useful in that oversized hollow Manhattan building?
