Sounds like the over paid and under worked fat cat bureaucrats at the UN are talking up their do nothing job in order to expand their feifdoms and get their friends and rellies snouts in the trough, with them. Although how they can do that now with so many UN fat cats pigging out in the trough, with not just their snouts, but their front trotters as well.

Another impressive and spot-on article by distinguished diplomat, Dr. Ioan Voicu, drawing attention to an important - and media-ignored - South-South cooperation UN initiative. With COVID-19 medical treatment and related innovations practically ignoring much of the global South, it is high-time for such an initiative. It is essential that this initiative is supported by the ten ASEAN members - as Dr. Voicu mentions, ASEAN continues to be a "living example of South-South cooperation." Looking forward to learning about the initiatives at the Thailand-hosted South-South Development Expo next year.
