China now has space nukes but they can't match us on plans to reach net zero.

Great article Matt. Unless Morrison commits to domestic nuclear power before the election the Liberals can kiss the 2022 election away.

The Zero Emissions Bill will go to the regions.

The ‘net zero emissions’ target is designed by inner-city elites; it serves only their narrow, Leftist interests; their ghastly plan will make no impact on global emissions (thanks to China et al, and our miniscule emissions); but it will cost 600,000 plus jobs in the regions.

"There will be bigger government but fewer productive businesses". Yes. And there will be more mass immigration to keep big business comfortable and pump up taxes to feed the Big Government, even if it's only the GST, as wages and work gradually disappear. A 'universal income' will be a small outlay for Big Government to pay.

Hydrogen? An expensive and dangerous non-renewable.

Xi Jinping with a "straight face"? He must laugh his head off every morning just thinking about 'zero carbon' and the stupidity of the collective West.

Given the threat from China, the West's obsession with climate and carbon dioxide is stark, raving madness, with no country now madder than Australia.

The Royals, sadly now including HM, who was recorded muttering about zero slackness, have made it much easier for the republicans at the next referendum, and our biggest threat is not Beijing, but Canberra.

The article was partisan propaganda from go to whoa!

And draws conclusions based on assumptions founded on ideology and little else.

Here's the thing, we can address climate change by transitioning to,
cheaper than coal, nuclear power! And ensure we have a nuclear reprisal weaponry arsenal, if China uses her space-based nuclear missiles on us?

One doesn't have to be woke to understand the harm we are/were doing with fossil fuels or historically, with tobacco or asbestos!

As for space-based nuclear threats? We have solutions that could shoot those missiles down over the territory of the entity that placed them there! And do so without any forewarning! If only to ensure they use them and then suffer the consequences, or take them back ASAP and decommission them!

While the technology for that response might only exist in one very old head? It exists! And if it should go to the grave undeveloped and still in that very old head? One could blame folk like the, very partisan, coal-fired (warm and comfortable, sleepwalking toward our ultimate demise) Author? It's time he and his ranting cohort, WOKE!

Largely agree AB.

Senator Canavan
quote "President Xi Jinping is not even attending the Glasgow conference. In fairness to him, I am not sure how he could keep a straight face while the west commits collective economic suicide"

Why would he attend? His economy is based on a house of cards made of wet tissue at best. To use anything China is doing, or not doing as a key driver is disingenuous. Blind Freddy knows the opposite of what the CCP says is the likely outcome.
So they developed a hypersonic nuke, who cares? If they were dumb enough to use it most of the Planet who they have alienated will join forces and wipe them off the map.
Enough of the China rhetoric, China is a paper tiger and reliant on the west. Let's not do the woke things, but the right things. China under the CCP can screw themselves over at their hearts content.

Here is the big joke in the corner;

IT IS THE SUN STUPID !

http://tinyurl.com/4zytf5nw

Now it is true, I have no proof of this but some scientists claim
they do. Like prof Ridd they have been attacked for contradicting
the current religion. So watch the Inquisition turn out.

It is remarkable but what looks like the peak in the cycle has turned
up bang on schedule for a peak 300 years after the Maunder minimum.

Transitioning to safe, clean, cheaper than coal, nuclear power will create more jobs than those we might lose in the coal mining industry!

And the accompanying power prices as low as 1 cent PKWH. will ensure a big uptake of new energy dependant manufacturing and value-adding processing!

As would genuine tax reform manifesting as an unavoidable flat tax of 15% that kicks in above a very generous tax-free threshold!

Ditto if most or all that was dependant on cooperative capitalism and cooperative enterprise!

The latter feature would ensure foreign raiders were locked out and also make every one dollar of investment do the work of at least seven!

None of the above is impossible or even moderately difficult! Just withheld by, I believe, puppet governments?
